The aim of this e-module (or pdf) is to enhance knowledge about HIV care among rehabilitation providers in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) to help address the needs of people living with HIV. The resource is divided into 5 sections: the role of rehabilitation in the context of HIV in SSA; what rehabilitation providers need to know about HIV in SSA; rehabilitation interventions that can help people living with HIV in SSA; what rehabilitation providers need to know about caring for children and youth living with HIV in SSA; concepts and tools for measuring rehabilitation outcomes in HIV in SSA. This current resource is a comprehensive adaptation of the 2014 Canadian e-Module for rehabilitation providers in Sub-Saharan Africa which was developed from "A Comprehensive Guide for the Care of Persons with HIV Disease (Module 7)", published by Health Canada and the Wellesley Central Hospital, Toronto, Canada, published in 1998.

"The module was written by and for trainers. It has been designed to help trainers plan and organise participatory educational sessions with community leaders or organised groups to raise awareness and promote practical action to challenge HIV and TB stigma and discrimination." It can be used as a stand alone resource or in conjunction with the modules on understanding and challenging HIV stigma

This toolkit contains ideas for drama and discussion activities aimed at helping young people to learn about sexual and reproductive health issues and to gain skills in facilitating and using interactive drama tools and techniques. It is aimed at youth groups, community youth workers, community drama groups, teachers, people working in sexual and reproductive health and HIV programmes, and anyone who wants to use drama as a process of learning and action on sexual and reproductive health.
The toolkit is the result of teamwork between drama and sexual and reproductive health practitioners from six countries: Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, UK, Zambia and Zimbabwe

This training package relates to nutrition in emergencies. The materials cover a broad range of subject areas concerned with nutrition in emergencies, in order to meet the differing needs of governments and international agencies in different contexts. This is the fifth booklet in this revised toolkit to raise awareness and promote practical action to challenge HIV stigma and discrimination. Module H focuses on men who have sex with men (MSM) and stigma. The toolkit was written by and for HIV trainers in Africa and changes and additions were made with the help of a regional trainers network workshop in Zambia in August 2005

This is a practical guide to the work of HIV mainstreaming for NGOs and groups working in this area. It was developed out of recognition that people needed tools and processes to make mainstreaming happen in practice and that an understanding of the principles is not enough. Evidence from low-prevalence countries in Latin America and high-prevalence countries in Africa suggests the tools are effective in both contexts. The toolkit can also facilitate an effective gender based analysis.

The Task Force for Child Survival and Development was commissioned by the Early Child Development Team of the World Bank to develop an assessment tool to help programmes address issues and needs of young families and their children. The tool kit was designed to access the needs of young children (under 8 years old) in communities heavily affected by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. The assessment provides information about the household, family, the main caregiver of young children, each child under 8 years of age, their basic needs (housing, food, clothing, bedding, daily activities, health, education and childcare), and unmet needs. The information from the assessment is intended to be used to design service programmes targeted to the needs of young children and their families
The needs assessment is carried out through the use of a survey of households in the area serviced by the organisation. If a survey of all households is not possible, simple random sampling or cluster survey methodology is used
