Development and disasters in a time of HIV and AIDS : an HIV mainstreaming toolkit for development and humanitarian response workers

This is a practical guide to the work of HIV mainstreaming for NGOs and groups working in this area. It was developed out of recognition that people needed tools and processes to make mainstreaming happen in practice and that an understanding of the principles is not enough. Evidence from low-prevalence countries in Latin America and high-prevalence countries in Africa suggests the tools are effective in both contexts. The toolkit can also facilitate an effective gender based analysis.
