This is a report of an assessment of UNICEF's programming in Zambia for children in general and those affected by HIV/AIDS. The assessment follows the release of the report "Children on the Brink", which was a wake up call to the international development community. Describes the progress and lessons learned from a project in Ghana to develop appropriate health education materials. The training of supervisors and trainers in participatory facilitation skills was identified as a key issue: 'the production of the materials [using participatory approaches] without training on how to use them will not yield the desired results'
