Inclusivity is a key element to exceptional travel experiences – enabling individuals all over the world to experience diverse countries, cultures and opportunities. Yet often, disability inclusion is not at the forefront of travel products and services.
This report will support travel providers to understand why disability inclusion matters to the industry whilst celebrating and learning from providers already striving to be more inclusive through their innovative practices
To gather stories and examples of best practice from within the travel industry, we developed a “Call for Case Studies” survey which was distributed to both Leonard Cheshire and Expedia Group’s networks. This paper was developed by the World Bank in partnership with Leonard Cheshire and Inclusion International. It is an attempt to add knowledge to the current understanding of the importance of learning achievements, with a focus on children with disabilities. While the premise is that inclusive education refers to the inclusion of all children, the focus of this paper is on children with disabilities.
The aim of the paper is to:
Provide an evidence-based review of educational participation of children with disabilities.
Establish a case for focusing on learning achievements for students with disabilities.
Take stock of current mechanisms of measurement of learning outcomes and review their inclusivity.
Explore evidence of practice and systems which promote disability-inclusive learning for all.
Four case studies are provided - from Pakistan, South Africa, Canada and UK.

Malnutrition can lead to disability, and disability can also lead to malnutrition. This paper will focus mainly on under-nutrition causing disability and disability causing or contributing to under-nutrition. Both nutrition and disability are key human rights issues. There is increasing knowledge about optimal nutrition-related practices and implementation of often low cost interventions to tackle issues of malnutrition in children. It is essential that governments, international actors and service providers consider and include the needs of children with disabilities in these efforts to ensure that children with disabilities have equitable access to nutrition in order to allow them to grow and thrive

This document examines the accessibility of public transport for disabled people in Scotland. Various issues concerning Scotland’s transportation sector are discussed and actions, focusing especially on those for disabled people, are identified to improve existing barriers. Statistics of the survey and disabled people’s perspectives are presented as evidence to support a fair and equitable transportation service for all. This report would be useful for people interested in the accessibility of public transport in Scotland
This report is based upon a survey of 1,000 disabled people’s views and experiences of everyday issues around the UK. The findings highlight various issues including income, education, employment, health and social services, housing, transport and access to goods and services.
